Terms of Service

Last updated: October 26, 2026

These terms govern your use of UserB (userb.app). By creating an account, connecting a repository or buying a review, you accept them. UserB is operated by Philippe Kummerfeldt, an individual based in Guatemala City, Guatemala ("UserB", "we", "us").

1. What UserB is

UserB reviews web applications, especially those built with AI tools. It offers a free quick check, which reads the repository's code without running it, and a paid full review, which rebuilds the app in a temporary, isolated environment with fictitious data and tests it the way its users would: whether it saves what it should, whether one user can see or change another user's data, and whether a signed-out visitor can reach private data.

Every result shows the evidence of what we tested (steps, responses and screenshots). UserB does not certify or guarantee that an app is secure: a passing result means the described tests passed on that commit in that environment, not that no other problems exist.

2. Your account and repositories

You sign in with your GitHub account and connect repositories through our GitHub App, which only requests read access. You may only connect repositories you own or are authorized to have reviewed.

You are responsible for activity on your account. You can disconnect repositories or uninstall the GitHub App at any time from GitHub; when you do, we delete the derived projects.

3. How we handle your code

For a full review we download the exact commit, rebuild it in an isolated, disposable virtual machine, without the repository's .env files and without any real keys, and delete it when done. We never connect to your production database, hosting or services, nor create users in them.

If your app does not include its Supabase migrations, you can paste your database structure (tables and permissions, never rows) produced by our read-only query. To prepare the tests, an AI model reads excerpts of your app's screens; you review and confirm that data before a credit is used.

4. Prices, payments and credits

The full review is bought as a credit. The price is shown before you pay (currently US$9 per review, launch price). Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it processes the payment, issues the invoice and handles billing and refund inquiries.

A credit is used when you launch a review. If the review cannot be completed because of a failure on our side, the credit is returned automatically. If your app does not build in a clean environment, we deliver that result with the build log and the credit counts as used. Money refunds follow our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use UserB to review code you have no right to have reviewed, to attack or overload third-party services, to run malware, mining or other compute abuse, or to try to access other accounts' data. We may stop reviews and suspend accounts that break these rules.

6. Ownership

Your code and data remain yours. You may use the reports we produce for you freely. UserB, its software, brand and test templates are ours.

7. Liability

The service is provided "as is". We take reasonable care that results are correct and backed by evidence, but we do not guarantee they detect every problem in an app. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or data loss.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; if a change is material we will notify you by email or in the dashboard before it applies. You can stop using UserB and ask us to delete your account at any time.

9. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Guatemala, without prejudice to the rights granted to you by consumer protection laws in your country. Contact: hola@userb.app.
